Aventron acquired the project rights from small hydropower developer Scanergy, and has signed a turnkey EPC contract with Brødrene Dahl. Captiva managed the later stage permitting and detailed planning on behalf Scanergy, and has been engaged by Aventron as owners engineer for the construction.
Kupe Kraftverk is located in Flora municipality in Sogn and Fjordane county on the west coast of Norway. It was permitted in 2009, but the realization was delayed due to limitation is the grid connection availability. The project developer Scanergy, a company which has an long term strategic co-operation with Captiva, has sold the project to the Swiss based Aventron. They have entered into a turnkey EPC delivery with Brødrende Dahl for the realization of the project. The chosen supplier for the electromechanical equipment is the Norwegian supplier Energi Teknikk. The plant will be operational in April 2017. Captiva will act as the owners engineer for the duration of the construction.
